Benissa - On the Costa Blanca
The historic hill town of Benissa is situated nine kilometers inland from Calpe in the mountains behind the Cabo de Noa. Away from the busy sea, lies the picturesque old town among vineyards, olive and almond groves. There is little tourism and the prices are still very friendly.
Benissa has a nice authentic history.
Benissa town is situated on the N332 with the center on the church square, Plaza de la Iglesia, Plaza Rey Jaume I. The extensive Old Town is on the other side of the square, away from the N332 and has old cobbled streets and many 17th and 18th century houses. Benissa has access to the Jalon Valley and Alcalali both the Calpe and Teulada side of town.
Benissa is situated at the foot of the mountains Bernia at 275 meters above sea level and is one of the oldest villages of the Costa Blanca. The village is full of pleasant surprises. While a quiet stroll through the old, well-preserved heart you find a series of historic buildings and cultural heritage belonging to discover the local history.

A beautiful route to drive from Calpe through Benissa (Coast) via the coast road to Moraira. It is a winding paved asphalt road with beautiful views.
The coastal road Calpe - Moraira
follows the coastline with cliffs and coves. The bulk of this road is
covered by the municipality of Benissa. Access roads leading to the
Benissaurbanisaties as the Avenida de los Garcias to La Fustera and
Altamira, Avenida de la Fustera to Buena Vista and Pedramala and Avenida
del Baladrar to Los Almendros, Baladrar and Montemar leading to the
urbanization ie directly to the sea as Basetes, Patmore, La Lobella,
Cala Abocat and Punta Estrella.
