Mallorca is the largest island of Spain (3640 km2). Located in the Mediterranean Sea, Mallorca, together with Menorca Ibiza and Formentera, is part of the Balearic Islands.  The island is a popular tourist destination with a number of visitors about 10 million a year. It 's a beautiful and exotic Spanish island that is considered as one of the most attractive party islands of Spain.

There are numerous attractions in Mallorca. There are beautiful caves with subterranean lakes. The great aquatic park resort  "Aqua City" is a must. "Marineland" shows a lot of the marine life and has the largest collection of sharks in Europe also an impressive zoo of reptiles. There are many shops and bars on the Plaza Mayor, the big 19th-century square in Mallorca.

The airport of Palma is just 8 km outside of Palma de Mallorca.  It is the 3th busiest airport in Spain and during the summer months, the busiest in Spain!   It ranks in the top twenty of airports in Europe.

Mallorca isn't an exception to the rest of Spain for it's typical traditional Spanish festivals.

The Three Kings, this is Christmas time for the Spanish people, in which local children leave their shoes outside the window and these are then filled with food. The shoes will disappear and be replaced by gifts in the morning.

Semana Santa is the Spanish Easter time, which takes two weeks, Mallorca celebrates this with festivals like 'Pancaritat' and 'Fiesta of the Angel'.

Moros y Cristianos (Moors and Christians), this festival celebrates the restoration of Christianity in Spain. The local people are dressed like the Moors and Christians and fight each other again by large impressive parades.
